With a powerful Apple H1 chip in each earcup, a custom acoustic design, and advanced software, the AirPods Max use computational audio to deliver a revolutionary experience. This technology uses the ten cores of each chip to eliminate background noise, modulate sound to the fit, and isolate the ear cushions.

To eliminate unwanted external sounds, the AirPods Max use six outward-facing microphones that detect noise, and two inward-facing microphones that calibrate what you hear. Additionally, the beamforming microphone technology puts your voice front and center during calls—you'll be heard loud and clear, even in windy conditions.

The industry-leading active noise cancellation counteracts external sounds with an inverse anti-noise signal, and by pressing the noise control button, you switch to ambient sound mode and return to the real world.

Like high-end floor-standing speakers, the dual neodymium ring motor of the transducer minimizes total harmonic distortion across the audible spectrum. This way, the audio always has exceptional quality, no matter how high you turn up the volume.

A battery that keeps going, keeps going

AirPods Max gives you up to 20 hours of audio, video playback, and calls with active noise cancellation and spatial audio enabled. The headphones charge via the Lightning connector and, with five minutes of charging, you get an hour and a half to keep enjoying, and when you store them in the flexible and compact Smart Case, the AirPods Max enter ultra-low power mode.
