This model’s 30 mm driver unit features a lightweight, rigid carbon-fiber dome and improves sensitivity to high frequencies for natural sound. Sony technologies include lead-free solder with gold for excellent conductivity, sound resistance that distributes power more effectively, and a circuit that improves the signal-to-noise ratio, delivering clear, consistent sound.
The WH-1000XM5 supports high-resolution audio and wireless high-resolution audio thanks to LDAC, the industry-standard audio coding technology. LDAC transmits almost three times as much data as conventional Bluetooth® audio to deliver high-resolution quality.

Our Precise Voice Pickup technology uses four multidirectional microphones and an AI-based noise reduction algorithm to precisely isolate your voice. A new wind-noise reduction structure minimizes wind noise during calls. Your voice will always sound clear wherever you are.
