This model's 30 mm driver features a lightweight, rigid carbon-fiber dome that improves sensitivity to high frequencies for natural sound. Sony technologies include lead-free gold solder for excellent conductivity, sound resistance that distributes power more effectively, and a circuit that improves the signal-to-noise ratio, delivering clear, consistent sound.
The WH-1000XM5 support high-resolution audio and high-resolution wireless audio thanks to LDAC, the industry-standard audio coding technology. LDAC transmits nearly three times more data than conventional Bluetooth® audio to deliver high-resolution quality.
